Fuck it I’m done.
I’ve got a list of less than 15 in order to have a 100% completed living dex of the DLC.
I’ve lost all interest in playing it. It’s so boring to just grind the DLC speed run portals over and over. And I honestly think I’m doing something wrong because I looked up online and every so often when you get enough points for one super special level 200 portal, it’s supposed to have a chance at a legendary or those ones I’m missing.
I even read that most people get one of those every 4-5 special portals.
I can’t even be bothered to remember the names of this shit. It’s so done to me.
Anyway it never happened once. I did all the side quests, I completed every single other thing possible. All that is left is the grind and it’s not enjoyable in the slightest. I was forcing myself to play these last few months while I worked out, already doing a thing I hate, might as well pile it on rather than ruin my mood some other time.
But I have probably done 15-20 of these level 200 portal thingys. None have given me the chance to catch a special anything. They’re just either battle zones, which suck really hard, or level 200 zones with stuff I already have. And I run all through them anyway trying to see if maybe it’s just not being displayed on the map but there are still those exclusives in the zone to catch.
But no, nothing.
They did finally get the ability to transfer pokemon in and out from home, so I finally could free up the space to keep going. It was about once a day I would need to go drop a couple boxes worth and then back to the grind.
However, I tried for about 2 more days after emptying the space. I got the Zeraora as the final thing I did in the game since that was a guaranteed spawn once you did the quest. And then I transferred in everything I was missing from my Home in order to “complete” the dex.
I really wanted to have that done in Home, but if I decide that’s worth it, I’ll come back for it in a few years. I need a good long break away from the game.
Not like there is even an incentive currently for completing the dex in Home, I’m sure they’ll add one later and it won’t be worth this mind numbing effort. But that’s something for another day.
