I get it now.
It only took more than 10 years.
I’m feeling quite glad to have one crossed off my list that’s been on there for quite literally more than a decade. I, and I imagine most people, didn’t expect to hear a DLC announcement for a game that old. But to be fair they have been keeping up with it moving to current generation consoles and such.
I’m not quite done with the show, that is taking me much longer than I expected, but I have finally completed the main story for the base Witcher 3 game, and both DLC’s main stories.
There’s so much more there, but I’m calling it done until the next DLC comes out. I imagine I’ll be more in a mood for exploration. Not that I directly avoided any side quest that sounded interesting, and I certainly put time into anything that immediately promised a worthwhile reward, such as master level armor or weapons. But I didn’t go out of my way to seek out every single request from every poor villager in every nook and cranny.
And after completing the base game I went off on my own without following a guide as I had done with the base game.
The DLC stories were excellent, the base story was excellent. I’m all about it. And although I’m close to being done with season 3 of the show, I know what’s upcoming in 4 and I’m eager to see how it goes. I tend to just like things I watch, so I doubt I’ll have all that many complaints. I know it’s been out for some time but I didn’t even watch season 3 until right now. And that came out 3 years ago at this point.
Next season though, I’ll be on top of it. And probably will have watched the animated movies I now know they’ve made, and finished reading the comic I started. Just probably not the books, yet. I’ll savor those for another time.
Anyway, fantastic game. Great time. Only thing left I have is the memories, and screenshots that I took. I remembered I could do that more towards the back half of things. So here’s a random assortment of images from the game.
